Apple iMac - 21.5 and 27 - Inch iMac - Better Picture and Superior Graphics

The new Apple iMac 21.5-inch, 1920-by-1080 display has 17 percent more pixels than the previous 20-inch iMac. The new Apple iMac 27-inch, 2560-by-1440 display features a whopping 78 percent more pixels than the 21.5-inch Apple iMac desktop computer. And what's more, a 1000:1 contrast ratio assures you more vibrant colors and blacker blacks; all that in a widescreen display with a 16:9 aspect ratio - the same as an HD TV.

With quad-core processors and superior graphics, the new iMac is the fastest and most powerful iMac up till now. The new fastest ever Apple iMac comes with high-performance graphics that make games run smoother, load photos quicker, and make applications work better. If you want even faster graphics, there is also an option to choose an iMac with a more advanced ATI graphics processor.

The 21.5-inch and 27-inch iMac models offer fast Intel Core 2 Duo processors up to 3.33GHz. The 27-inch iMac features Quad-core power with a 2.66GHz Intel Core i5 processor or 2.8GHz Intel Core i7 processor. The new iMac has 4GB of 1066MHz DDR3 memory standard, with room in its four SO-DIMM slots for up to 16GB, so you can run more applications at the same time. And with a Serial ATA hard drive up to 2TB, feel free to add up more photos, videos, and music.

The new iMac is quicker at importing photos and performing basic editing tasks such as red-eye removal and to erase small blemishes in iPhoto. If you're a photo fanatic who is keen on the power and precision of more professional applications, the 2.8GHz quad-core iMac gives you up to 2x quicker performance with Aperture.

Apple iMac 27 - Another Spark of Brilliance From Apple

Apple iMacs have always been designed as an all-in-one desktop. Apple has kept to tradition and the new Apple iMac 27 is exactly that, an all-in-one desktop computer. The only difference is that it's much better in terms of design, features and performance.

The iMac 27 comes with a 27 - inch display highly praised for its edge-to-edge glass cover. I prefer referring to it as the 'almost edge-to-edge' glass cover. It features a 16:9 widescreen display with a HD resolution of 2560-by-1440. That is up to 80% pixels more than the iMac 21.5 - inch display. This will definitely bring in more life to your TV shows, movies, websites, games and photos. Simply put everything looks stunning on the iMac 27. Thanks to it's built in LED backlighting and IPS technology, you get a clear and bright view of the screen from almost any angle.

The Apple iMac 27 comes with the power of quad-core, that's a 4-in-1 processor. This makes the machine perform up to 2 times faster than the previous generation iMac. This makes editing photos and videos and whatever else you do on your iMac two times faster. When it comes to gaming, thanks to the ATI Radeon HD 4670 graphics processor, your gaming performance goes up to 4.4 times faster.

Also note that the Apple iMac 27 comes with a slick wireless keyboard and a one of a kind wireless mouse, they call it the 'Magic Mouse'. It is highly praised as being the first ever mouse that actually 'thinks'. First of all, apart from being wireless, the mouse does not have any visible buttons or scrolling wheels. It's just a smooth, multi touch, top shell. You can click anywhere, scroll either horizontally or vertically by just sliding your finger anywhere on its surface, you can easily magnify your screen by holding down the control key and sliding your finger forward on the smooth surface of the mouse.
To sum it all up, I think the Apple iMac 27 is a fabulous all-in-one desktop, the best I've come across, and definitely a big improvement from the previous generation iMac. Though a bit costly, you can always take advantage of discount coupons online to get a great deal on this machine.
